Uji Motherboard Intel DP67BG

Selain prosesor Sandy Bridge, Intel juga meluncurkan motherboard yang mendukungnya seperti DP67BG. Sebagai seri Extreme—seri kelas atas Intel, wajar saja bila fasilitasnya terbilang lengkap. Intel memberikan SATA 6Gbps, USB 3.0, eksternal SATA (eSATA), dan FireWire. Kedua slot PCI-Express 2.0 x16 (x16 x8) -nya juga mendukung SLI selain CrossFireX.

Bagi yang senang mengutakatik, Intel memberikan sejumlah kemudahan, termasuk Diagnostic LED yang memudahkan identifi kasi masalah saat POST. Ingin lebih detail? Intel pun menyediakan debug port. Ada juga tombol Back to BIOS—semacam tombol clear CMOS, namun tanpa kehilangan pengaturan yang telah dibuat—pada panel belakang.

Satu yang menurut PCplus kurang ideal adalah lokasi header alternatif untuk LED On/Off. Lokasinya yang tidak umum, bisa menyulitkan.

O ya, jika kamu hendak membeli motherboard berchipset Intel P67 Express, apapun merk dan tipenya, pastikan sudah yang revisi B3 agar telah terbebas dari bug SATA 3Gbps. (Cakrawala)

Uji Motherboard Asus P8P67 Pro

Asus P8P67 Pro merupakan salah satu motherboard LGA1155 yang menawarkan 3 slot PCI-Express 2.0 x16 (x16 x8 x4). Bagusnya, selain dukungan CrossFireX dan SLI, ia memberikan jarak yang cukup jauh antara slot pertama dan kedua—penggunaan 2 kartu grafi s slot ganda berpanas tinggi bisa lebih optimal.

Produk dengan embelembel Pro ini pun dilengkapi dengan tambahan SATA 6Gbps (bersama bawaan chipset Intel P67 Express jadi 4 kanal), USB 3.0, eksternal SATA (eSATA), dan FireWire. Asus turut menambahkan Bluetooth.

Bagi yang senang mengutak-atik PC-nya, Asus memberikan TPU (TurboV Processing Unit)—chip khusus untuk overclock—yang diklaim mampu memberikan kontrol yang akurat. Asus juga menyediakan sejumlah kelengkapan lain, termasuk penghemat daya EPU (Energy Processing Unit).
