Nokia keluaran baru ini cocoknya dinamakan saja Nokia 5230 Touchscreen (layar sentuh), karena sebelumnya Nokia juga telah mengeluarkan seri Nokia 5230 yaitu Nokia 5230 XpressMusic, ini dimaksutkan untuk membedakan kedua ponsel tersebut.

Oke, kita langsung saja membahas ponsel ini, Nokia 5230 Touchscreen memiliki bentuk candybar dan memiliki layar sentuh ukuran 3,2 inchi dengan resolusi: 640 x 360 piksel. Memori bawaan ponsel ini 70 MB namun kita bisa mengakalinya dengan menambahi microSD maksimalnya 16 GB.

Dengan kamera 2 MP yang dimiliki Nokia 5230 tentu saja kita bisa mengabadikan momen-momen tertentu dan merekamya dengan video hingga ukuran 640 x 480 piksel dengan kecepatan gambar 30 fps (TV berkualitas tinggi).
